How the Sleep Well Guru Program Works

The Sleep Well Guru Program works by:

  1. Quieting the mind
  2. Guiding you into a unique state of relaxation
  3. Subconscious reprogramming of the sleep cycle

First, my program will help you quiet down all of that rapid, incessant thinking which interferes with the process of falling asleep. As you listen to the CDs you'll find yourself focusing more and more exclusively on my voice, and other thoughts and preoccupations begin to fall away. This “one pointed concentration” is the first step.

Then, “progressive relaxation” is utilized to take you to the next level of inner calmness. By relaxing different sections of your body, slowly, step by step, the mind quiets down even further.

Next, “guided imagery” is used. Each of the CDs employs different imagery, and, each of them has been used successfully in thousands of therapy sessions to gently guide the listener into a profound state of relaxation. This unique state - a wonderfully pleasant, dreamy state, is sometimes referred to as the alpha state, the meditative state or the hypnotic state.

In this deeply relaxed state the analytical component of the mind has disengaged and the mind becomes much more receptive to positive suggestion, as suggestions reach the deeper, subconscious level of the mind. At this point you are given direct positive suggestions to help you fall asleep with greater ease, to achieve a deeper level of sleep, and to sleep more and more continuously through the night. Positive suggestion is used to help you awaken in the morning feeling better, more rested and refreshed.

A significant portion of the Sleep Well Guru Program is also devoted to subconscious strengthening of self-confidence. This is tremendously effective in helping one return to a healthy, balanced sleep cycle. The self-confidence component of the program also tends to have a bit of a “spill over” effect where many clients report feeling more relaxed and more positive during the day.
